These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ALiN platform, including our mobile applications and website. Please read them carefully before using our services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the ALiN app or website, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
ALiN reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. User (Passenger) Responsibilities
As a passenger using ALiN, you agree to:
- Provide accurate personal information during registration and keep it updated.
- Use the platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
- Treat drivers with respect and courtesy at all times.
- Not engage in any abusive, threatening, or discriminatory behavior.
- Not request rides for illegal activities or transport of prohibited items.
- Wear a seatbelt where applicable and follow all safety instructions.
- Not share your account credentials with any other person.
- Report any safety concerns or incidents to ALiN support immediately.
3. Driver Responsibilities
As a driver partner on ALiN, you agree to:
- Hold a valid driving license and all required permits for commercial transport.
- Maintain your vehicle in a safe, clean, and roadworthy condition.
- Carry valid vehicle insurance and registration documents at all times.
- Follow all applicable traffic laws and road safety regulations.
- Treat passengers with professionalism and respect.
- Not drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any impairing substance.
- Accept and complete ride requests honestly without cancelling excessively.
- Not solicit passengers for off-platform rides to avoid ALiN fees.
- Maintain a minimum rating as required by ALiN's driver quality standards.
4. Booking Rules
- Ride requests are matched automatically based on proximity and availability.
- The fare displayed at booking is an estimate; final fare may vary due to route changes, traffic, or waiting time.
- Passengers must be at the pickup location within a reasonable time after the driver arrives.
- ALiN reserves the right to refuse service to users who violate these Terms.
- Scheduled rides must be booked at least 15 minutes in advance.
- Ride sharing (pooling) is subject to availability and may involve multiple stops.
5. Cancellation Policy
We understand plans change. Here's how our cancellation policy works:
- Free cancellation: Cancel within 2 minutes of booking confirmation at no charge.
- Cancellation fee: A fee may apply if you cancel after the driver has been dispatched or is within 500m of your pickup point.
- Driver no-show: If your driver does not arrive within the estimated time, you may cancel for free and will not be charged.
- Repeated cancellations: Excessive cancellations may result in temporary suspension of your account.
- Cancellation fees, if applicable, will be clearly shown before you confirm the cancellation.
6. Payments
- Fares are calculated based on distance, time, ride type, and applicable surge pricing.
- Accepted payment methods include cash, UPI, debit/credit cards, and in-app wallets.
- All digital payments are processed securely through PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways.
- Receipts are sent to your registered email or phone number after each ride.
- In case of a fare dispute, contact support within 24 hours of the ride.
- ALiN reserves the right to apply surge pricing during high-demand periods. You will be notified before confirming a surge-priced ride.
- Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within 5–7 business days to the original payment method.
7. Liability Disclaimer
ALiN is a technology platform that connects passengers with independent driver partners. To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- ALiN is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from the use of our services.
- Drivers are independent contractors, not employees of ALiN.
- ALiN does not guarantee the availability of rides at any given time or location.
- We are not responsible for delays caused by traffic, weather, or other factors beyond our control.
- ALiN's total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the fare paid for the ride in question.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
8. Account Suspension & Termination
ALiN may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate any provision of these Terms.
- Engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.
- Provide false information during registration.
- Receive consistently low ratings or multiple complaints.
You may delete your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting support.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of ALiN shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Golaghat, Assam, India.
